Chemicals of concern are all around us and can be found in our clothes, food, and household and baby products.    To find out more about some chemicals linked to health harm, check out the resources below:

Toxic Free Future

Toxic Free Future is an environmental nonprofit working in Washington State and nationally to eliminate toxic chemicals from products and the environment.

Their team of scientists have developed great summaries, describing some of the most commonly used toxic chemicals, at:

Green Science Policy Institute

According to the Green Science Policy Institute, many chemicals of concern fall into six classes:

  • antimicrobials

  • bisphenols and phthalates

  • certain metals

  • flame retardants, per and polyfluoroalkyl substances, and

  • some solvents.
