Messages in Bottles Delivered to Governor
Event covered on the front page of The Boston Globe
On Thursday, March 19th, 2009 about 30 parents and advocates from different parts of the State delivered 8,490 messages to the Governor at the MA State House. Some of those messages were delivered in baby bottles.
We said loud and clear that we want baby products free of toxic chemical BPA!
On Friday morning, there we were on the front page of the Boston Globe waiting to deliver petition signatures. Not shabby coverage at all!
Unfortunately, in the news story the Department of Public Health (DPH) said that a warning to consumers will take a few more months and if they do a ban, it will be even longer. This is not soon enough, so our campaign will continue.
Thanks to everyone who signed the petition and sent it to all their friends and family. We will be collecting more messages until the BPA ban is issued, so you can still ask more friends to sign.
Stay tuned to find out what's coming next!
